Get the Johnson & Johnson Vaccine on June 19th

by 26Health Staff

Good news! Our second Covid-19 vaccination event with State Senator Randolph Bracy of the 11th district and Change for the Community is coming up on Saturday, June 19th from 9 am to 3 pm. The event is open to the public at the 26Health medical offices on North Magnolia.

Those who came to the first event and received the Pzifer vaccine can come get their second dose. We will also offer the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on June 19th.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is a great solution for tourists and visitors who are in the Orlando area that weekend. 26Health is making a concerted effort to communicate with embassies like the Consulate General of Haiti, the Consulate of Colombia, and the Consulate of Mexico that have offices here in Orlando.

Parents who have been looking for a vaccination site for their children age 12 and over will find that 26Health, with its offices in downtown Orlando and ample free parking, is an ideal location. We encourage families who are ready to vaccinate their tweens and teens to join us on June 12th from 9 am to 3 pm.

“The purpose of this program is to reach people who live in underserved communities where finding a vaccination site might be hard to come by. Beating back this pandemic means that every community must have equal access to the COVID-19 vaccine,” said Senator Bracy.

In April of last year, Bracy addressed fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic by calling on legislative leaders to consider a special session of the legislature to increase the amount of money and duration of state unemployment benefits. In the 2021 Florida legislature session Bracy was appointed vice-chair of the Senate Select Committee on Pandemic Preparedness and Response. He introduced a bill to increase state unemployment benefits from $275 to $400 maximum weekly benefits and extend eligibility to 26 weeks from 19 weeks.

His focus on Florida’s residents and all those in need of Covid-19 vaccination is realized in the collaborative efforts from his office with 26Health and Change for the Community.
