What is your patient care philosophy?

I believe in caring for every patient as I would for my own family, treating them with kindness, respect, and empathy. My approach focuses on listening closely, understanding each person’s unique needs, and working collaboratively to create a care plan that supports their health and well-being. I also prioritize empowering patients with knowledge so they can make informed decisions about their own care.

How does your work affect lives?

Being a Family Medicine physician allows me to care for patients at every stage of life—from preventive care to managing acute and chronic conditions. I feel honored to guide patients and their families through both everyday health challenges and life’s most important moments, helping them feel supported and cared for when they see me as their medical provider. I find deep meaning in building long-term relationships with my patients and serving as a trusted advocate for their well-being in all aspects of their care.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

The greatest joy I find in my work comes from the trust and relationships I build with my patients and their families. It is deeply rewarding to witness their progress, see them achieve their health goals, and know that I’ve played a meaningful role in their journey toward better well-being. I also enjoy listening and learning from each patient’s unique experiences and walk of life.

What are some interesting facts about you?

I am a proud U.S. Army veteran, having served and trained as both an Infantry soldier and a Medical Officer. I was born in the Dominican Republic and grew up in New York City from the age of nine. Before becoming a physician, I worked as a Mental Health Counselor and a Substance Abuse Counselor—an experience that has shaped my compassionate approach to patient care. I believe strongly in giving back to the community and to my patients. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor adventures and activities, traveling to new places, and spending quality time with my family, friends, and loved ones.
