What is your patient care philosophy?
As a family doctor, I see my role as connecting people to care that keeps them healthy, whether that is prescription medication, referrals to specialists or counseling, or health education during routine check-ups.
How does your work affect lives?
I often tell patients that how healthy they feel can be just as important as lab values and other numbers. With the numerous stressors and barriers in modern life, I've seen the greatest success when people feel confident that they can stay healthy or be healthier in the future.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
Learning about the people I meet- whether patients, visitors, or the staff I work with- is always a joy. It is an honor when people trust me enough to share their background and life experience.
What are some interesting facts about you?
When I'm not at work, I and my wife are trying to keep up with our teenage twins! I am a huge GEEK and I appreciate many fandoms, including movies, theme parks, sci-fi, and superheroes. I often show that geekiness by wearing the most fun socks that I can find 🙂
