Cathy Ernotte is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 35 years of nursing experience in a variety of disciplines.  Her most recent areas of practice include urgent care, retail walk-in clinic, interventional pain management, and emergency.  Having been told by her family that she expressed a desire to be a nurse at a young age Cathy obtained first a diploma from Wesley School of Nursing, Wichita, KS.  That was followed by obtaining her BSN from Wichita State University in Wichita, KS, and her Master’s degree and Family Practice Certification at the University of South Alabama in Mobile.Cathy prefers to approach patient care using the shared decision-making model.  This allows both the patient and provider to thoroughly go over the recommended opportunities to address options for medical issues, health prevention, and wellness and determine together the best approach to meet both needs and goals. Education and understanding are key components for all health care and is integrated fully in reaching optimal health.

Described as a creative person Cathy enjoys several expressive mediums which include textile art, knitting, sewing, quilting, embroidery, and photography. Other passions include family and friend time (including a recently adopted older dog named Bo from the shelter) and when not reading medical information books on history, a biography, or a good mystery.
