Aleia Roberts

Government Affairs Coordinator

Aleia Roberts was born in Georgetown, Guyana, and moved to the U.S. in 2000. In 2018, Aleia graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education with Magna Cum Laude honors. Aleia is currently working on her Master’s in Public Health from George Washington University where she has focused her studies on health policy and global health.

Aleia began her career as a Health Education intern for the University of Miami Herbert Wellness Center, where she designed and implemented wellness programs for diverse target populations. She also has experience working with Orange County Public Schools as a School Health Coordinator. Aleia’s experience in working with government affairs stems from her time as a health & wellness consultant for Caribbean America Passport, where she designed events to promote health and well-being in the Central Florida Community alongside key stakeholders and elected officials.

Aleia has a history of advocating for evidence-based, human-centered approaches when it comes to health education and behavior change. As a highly motivated public health professional, Aleia has a passion or utilizing health policy to achieve health equity. She believes that with the right policies in place, the stage can be set for under-represented communities to transform their health for the better.
