Roberto Katz

Behavioral Health Clinical Services Manager

Roberto Katz is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the Counselor Education Program at the University of Central Florida. As a bi-cultural provider, he provides mental health counseling services in Spanish and English. Roberto has twelve years of experience serving the LGBTQA+ community. He is highly experienced in working with clients living with HIV and/or other chronic conditions, Gender Dysphoria, Substance Abuse, Mood Disorders, and Phase of Life issues. His counseling approach is mostly based on Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. In addition to his mental health counseling work, Roberto has a background in Political Science and has a special interest in advocacy. In this respect, his area of focus is working with clients with intersectional identities. This involves clients who are members of one or more discriminated groups. Roberto is also a strong supporter of integrated treatment that seeks to assess and address the emotional, medical, and material needs of the client.
