“The Board of Directors is extremely proud to have Syvonne Carter serve as the next CEO of 26Health,” said Dr. David J. Hardrick, Chair of the 26Health Board of Directors. “The communities that we serve are at a critical junction, and during the past five months, Syvonne has proven to be the best and right leader for this new chapter in 26Health’s history.”

Since 2011, 26Health has sought to fill the gap in care access and be a force multiplier for marginalized groups in Central Florida by providing best-in-class healthcare to the region’s LGBTQ+ and ally community. As part of its mission to serve the region, 26Health hosted a “Community Connections Breakfast,” bringing together leaders from across Orlando and Central Florida to discuss the status of health equity and challenges ahead, particularly for the LGBTQ+ community in Florida following the recent 2023 legislative session.

“For over a decade, 26Health has been at the forefront in fighting for the underserved and uninsured to guarantee they receive the care they deserve,” said Carter. “It is a privilege to continue leading our incredible teams and expanding our services to uplift all Central Florida communities during this especially challenging time.”
